" The greatest accomplishment is not in never falling,
but in rising again after the fall."

LIFE LESSONS

It's always painful to find out the commitment we made is not the right one, when not a dime of the financial investment is recovered. We are faced of making a choice at the junction of morality or short term financial gains to cover our losses. But that is always part of growing up into a gem or simply having our beliefs and integrity traded for the pressures we are faced with.

Learning the truth is painful. But ignoring the truth could haunt us for the rest of our life. I have bumped into some people who has made lots of money in the same situation. But none could preserve the wealth. Not a dime! So the answer to the question of whether we should we bow to the demands of the moments or otherwise to be able to stand tall still, is rather obvious.

WHEN GIVING, FORGET ABOUT IT

And so, he came and met me the first night he was around in KL, probably just to humour me. Not anymore subsequently, even when he was around another 2 days at least. No phone calls, no nothing even it was made pretty obvious I was expecting another meeting.

Still remember, when I was the revered one. I would be spending time with his leaders late into the wee hours of the night, having only 2-3 hours of sleep on top of my speaking commitments flying to another town every morning, for a few days in a row. Only fellow speakers would be able to understand how tiring it could be. But I did it in the name of friendship. Giving every single fibre of my being.

But it is now over. The past is past. We cannot continue living in the past. And I have to remind me all the time that when giving, forget about the whole act of giving. Otherwise, it could leave a little hurt down deep within us.

Never mind friend! All the best!

BUSINESS

Was with Abg Ghani from 11.00pm to past mid night at our usual bistro last night.

Always something to learn. The problem with some of us, some people are playing the game to their own set of rules. Fact is, business and life cannot be separated. The man and the businessman is one. How one runs their life shall be reflected in the way they run their business.

It is just like golf. See, if one cheats!

Bye for now. Enjoy your lunch folks. And don't forget the rain later in the evening. Enjoy it as well.

Warmest regards,

M.A.
KL.
